Watchman Security offers two types of Guernsey access control systems:

Stand-Alone Access Control:

Stand-alone access enables control access to one of many independent doors in a given building. Depending on the type of reader installed, you can gain access by numeric code, keypad PIN or by waving a magstripe token.

Typical premises using this application include:

  • Small business premises
  • Sports clubs
  • Storage units
  • Any small or medium-sized site

Due to the simplicity of token management, stand-alone access control is a good choice for smaller sites with a relatively low number of users, and can be easily extended should your security requirements ever change.

PC-Based or Networked Access Control

PC-based access control is operated via a network and offers completely centralized control of your security system. Commands given at your PC are sent to each door, and tokens can be barred from all doors instantly should the need arise. This type of Guernsey access control system offers flexibility, allowing different permissions for individuals or groups of users, while providing reports that enable you to see who went where and when. Many of our systems also allow control of additional buildings from the same site.

Typical premises using this application include:

  • Medium and large premises
  • Multiple-site premises
  • Government buildings
  • Universities
  • Car parks
